Both models work in harmony to guide programmers in effectively planning experiential programs. This book and its ongoing case studies will prove useful for:

• experiential practitioners who have credible levels of technical expertise in adventure activities and less experience or training in program planning;

Jude Hirsch, Ed.D., is the coordinator of graduate and undergraduate programs in outdoor education and the director of the Outdoor Education Center at Georgia College & State University. Her writing and research is in outdoor education program administration, curriculum and instruction, program evaluation, and environmental education. She provides facility design, program development, and strategic management consultation to a range of recreation and education agencies using mission-related outdoor and experiential education strategies. Jude is currently a member of the Association for Experiential Education Accreditation Council.

Simon Priest, Ph.D., is the leading researcher and writer in experiential training and development with corporations.  He currently consults in facilitation training, leadership enhancement, and executive development for a handful of progressive companies interested in staying ahead of their global competition by focusing on the development and maintenance of human resource relationships.  Now early retired, he maintains adjunct professorships at several universities and management institutes around the world.
